  1. Who we are
Lift-Ed provides AI and automation implementation services mainly to UK training providers. This website is run by Patrick Jongbloed trading as Lift-Ed sole trader. I am the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Contact: patrick@lift-ed.co.uk , correspondence is handled by email only.
  2. What data we collect
  • Enquiry form: when you submit the form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send. Phone number only if you choose to provide it.
  • Correspondence: emails and messages you send me, and my replies.
  • Website technical data: standard server logs and essential cookies only.

We do NOT collect special-category data (health, ethnicity, etc.) through this site, and we do not process learner data. If a project involves building automations inside your own systems, that work happens within your environment — we configure it, we do not hold your learners’ data.

  1. How we use your data and the legal basis
  • To respond to your enquiry — legitimate interest (replying to a prospective client) and, where you’ve asked us to contact you, consent.
  • To deliver and administer any work we agree — performance of a contract.
  • To keep this site secure and working — legitimate interest.
We will not use your details for unrelated marketing without your clear consent.
  1. Who we share it with
  • Our web host, 20i (UK), which stores this website and its form submissions.
  • Our email provider, used to receive and send correspondence.
  • The form plugin that delivers your enquiry to us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
  1. Where it is stored
Data is hosted on UK-based servers (20i). We do not routinely transfer your data outside the UK. If that ever changes, we will use an appropriate safeguard.
  2. How long we keep it
  • Enquiries that don’t lead to work: deleted after 12 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
  • Active client correspondence and project data: kept for the duration of the engagement and then 6 years for tax/accounting law, or as agreed in our contract.
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see §8).
  1. Cookies and analytics
This site uses only essential cookies needed for it to function.
  2. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email patrick@lift-ed.co.uk. We will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy with how we handle your data.
  3. Changes
We’ll update this policy if our practices change and post the new version here with a revised date.
