- Who we are
Lift-Ed provides AI and automation implementation services mainly to UK training providers. This website is run by Patrick Jongbloed trading as Lift-Ed sole trader. I am the data controller responsible for your personal data.
Contact: patrick@lift-ed.co.uk , correspondence is handled by email only. - What data we collect
- Enquiry form: when you submit the form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send. Phone number only if you choose to provide it.
- Correspondence: emails and messages you send me, and my replies.
- Website technical data: standard server logs and essential cookies only.
We do NOT collect special-category data (health, ethnicity, etc.) through this site, and we do not process learner data. If a project involves building automations inside your own systems, that work happens within your environment — we configure it, we do not hold your learners’ data.
- How we use your data and the legal basis
- To respond to your enquiry — legitimate interest (replying to a prospective client) and, where you’ve asked us to contact you, consent.
- To deliver and administer any work we agree — performance of a contract.
- To keep this site secure and working — legitimate interest.
We will not use your details for unrelated marketing without your clear consent.
- Who we share it with
- Our web host, 20i (UK), which stores this website and its form submissions.
- Our email provider, used to receive and send correspondence.
- The form plugin that delivers your enquiry to us.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
- Where it is stored
Data is hosted on UK-based servers (20i). We do not routinely transfer your data outside the UK. If that ever changes, we will use an appropriate safeguard. - How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t lead to work: deleted after 12 months, unless you ask us to remove them sooner.
- Active client correspondence and project data: kept for the duration of the engagement and then 6 years for tax/accounting law, or as agreed in our contract.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see §8).
- Cookies and analytics
This site uses only essential cookies needed for it to function. - Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email patrick@lift-ed.co.uk. We will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy with how we handle your data. - Changes
We’ll update this policy if our practices change and post the new version here with a revised date.
